Belinda Reiss

Therapist

Hello,

I’m Belinda Reiss, and my pronouns are she/her. I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) based in Los Angeles, CA. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have a passion for helping clients to achieve their fullest potential. My work features a multi-faceted, attachment focused, and client-centered approach. I believe in providing authentic and compassionate care for the clients that I serve.

My experience has spanned emergency mental health services, mental health services for college students, and addiction. My clients include young adults, families, groups, and couples. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to work with all types of individuals. My clinical expertise includes working with adults under 35 years old who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and or having difficulty navigating the world in some form.

Our search for meaning begins with stories that we tell ourselves and others. Sometimes the stories we create distort our perception of ourselves and the world around us. These distortions can affect our identity, self-efficacy, and overall well-being. Through talk therapy I will help you to deconstruct these problematic narratives which will empower you to reframe your life in a positive way. I create a safe space to explore parts of your inner self that might be affected by your past traumas and day-to-day challenges. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, and emotion focused therapy. These treatment modalities all utilize talk therapy to identify problematic thoughts, inner dialogues, emotions, and behaviors. These techniques can effectively treat stress, trauma, sadness, and a lack of personal fulfillment.
